PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE — CONDUCTING

Viva la Musica! Choir and Orchestra, Bay Area California
2001-Present
Founder and Artistic Director. www.vivalamusica.org. 55-70 voice SATB community choir and 20-35 member orchestra. Non-profit organization. Two annual concert seasons. Major works and multi-cultural repertoire. Chorus also performs with other local orchestras. Performance tours: Carnegie Hall, New York, 2008 & 2009; Vienna and Salzburg, 2006; Vermont Choral Festival, 2005. Responsibility for artistic entity: Programming and concert conception, leading rehearsals and retreat, conducting performances. Collaborates with accompanist and sectional leaders to prepare choir. Prepares vocal and orchestral parts, rehearsal CD’s, and program notes. Presents pre-concert talks. Supervises program printing and concert performance CD editing and production. Works with board and chorus administrator. Supervises website and publicity. Active in fund-raising.
